Seeds were planted

Just wrapped up Welcome Week!

I am overwhelmed. It's weeks like this where the Lord reminds me Why campus ministry matters. I've heard, thankfulness of our existence from students and faculty. I've heard answered prayers. I've seen faces become curious at the kindness. I've seen faces light up at an invitation. I've watched crowds made up of students from different experiences, backgrounds, cultures and socioeconomics gather around campus and simply enjoy the company of each other. Students stopping by asking, "What is this? Yall are so kind! How do ya'll know each other? Can anyone join?" Or my favorite, after various interactions, repeating we are a Christian organization on campus wanting to welcome and love on students -right there, I've seen anxious, timid, cool, depressed, hurt students choosing to give community a chance, and that's a win in the Kingdom. This is Why campus ministry matters.

Meet our 2023-2024 leader team. Thankful for the group of students the Lord has been preparing.

Day cores happen to be essential to reach students who are already on campus. Here's our first core of the year at Frisco!
Meet our 2023-2024 Collin apprentices -such team players! In such little time they've become some of my favorite people, they each bring something unique and valuable to our team. I am excited to see what all the Lord does through them.

We are back to where we started, the back of the Cougar Cafe! At some point we couldn't find anymore chairs for people to sit. This was a huge encouragement and reminder that students are yearning for community, for Jesus.

Please pray a prayer of thanks to God, for placing all of his people right where he wants them to be at our Collin campuses, for a smooth week of planting without any pushback, for providing the perfect location to have our Thursday Night service at the Cougar Cafe. Thank him for being the real minister to all of our Collin campuses and for choosing to use people like me to do his work at Collin. Thank him for it all.

And thank you for your continued prayers and support via text and phone calls. I am praying for you and your family, and ask that God helps you hear him clearly this week.

For the Kingdom,
